POSITION: CLIMBING ARBORIST TRAINEE— DAVEY RESIDENTIAL PLYMOUTH, MN Davey is seeking a qualified Climbing Arborist to join our Residential Tree Care team in Plymouth, (Minneapolis), Minnesota .
Duties:
Assist Climbing Arborist Crew Leader in completing all aspects of Tree Pruning, Removal, Cabling & Bracing by working as both second climber and groundsperson Operate Chippers, Trucks, Aerial Lifts, stump grinders or special equipment Participate in job-site Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process Maintain issued climbing gear, chainsaw, and shared crew equipment as directed by Foreman Complete Davey Aerial Rescue Training Make satisfactory progress in Davey Arborist Career Development Program
Qualifications: Valid Driver's License required - CDL Class B-Air or ability to attain preferred. Ability to satisfactorily perform Groundman duties Under Direct Supervision ability to demonstrate proficiency: Climbing trees with Closed or Open Climbing System Pruning to ANSI A300 standards. Operating chippers and chainsaws ISA Certified Tree Worker or Arborist highly valuable
Additional Information
We provide all employees with PPE & Climbing Gear. This location has Petzl Vertex helmets, Treemotion or Ergovation Saddles, 24 strand rope, & Silky handsaws available. This location utilizes SRT for large tree ascents after completion of in-house SRT proficiency training. Rigging gear is crew issued and assigned relative to job demands and crew ability.
Compensation
Full-time hourly positon with overtime available. Compensation is competitive for location & experience. Davey employees are eligible for health, dental & vison. After 1 year employees are eligible for 401k plan with company match and ESOP stock purchase plan.
